Name:
Named in honor of Sven Rinman (23 (or 12 by old system) June 1720, Uppsala, Sweden – 20 December 1792, Eskilstuna, Sweden), chemist, mineralogist and pioneer of the Swedish iron mining and industry, writing two important books on mining engineering. The pigment cobalt green, that he discovered, is also named after him (Rinman's green).
Isostructural with:
Probably to be renamed as "rinmanite-(Mg)", as it is the Mg analogue of zincorinmanite-(Zn). Unique combination of elements (status: April 2024).
