Pumice quarries in the Laach lake volcanic complex.
Located 1 km north of Mendig.
NOTE: There also is a basalt quarry on the slopes of this mountain, which works a scoria cone consisting of nepheline-leucite-tephrite lavas. Owing to its different geology and mineral association, this quarry is listed separately (http://www.mindat.org/loc-107368.html).
