Basalt quarries (Meerfeld quarry abandoned, Slabik quarry/Scheerer quarry active) located 800 m NE of Ădersdorf and about 4.5 km SW of Daun.
Pneumatolytically formed mineral assemblages on fissures of basalt. Paragenesis is similar to that of the Graulay quarry.
Notes on the mineral list:
â Barytolamprophyllite (from the Eifel localities) was originally mentioned by Hentschel. He used this name to describe Ba-rich members of the lamprophyllite group. These minerals were investigated in more detail during the last years and turned out to be new Ba-rich species of the lamprophyllite group (schĂŒllerite, lileyite and the Fe-analogue of lileyite). In the recent investigations, barytolamprophyllite sensu stricto was not detectable.
