Located immediately NW of Lake Naivasha, Nakuru County, Kenya the complex lies within the rift valley and covers some 470 kmยฒ, but tuffs that emanated from this centre blanket much of the rift shoulder to the west. The complex has a max elevation of 980 m above rift floor (Clarke et al. 1990; Thompson & Dodson 1963).
