Two dumps are visible on the low hillside next to the B4343 road and a public footpath follows a track up the slope through the mine dumps. The dump closest to the road has been recently partly excavated and material used to resurface the track. The dump is composed of blocks of slate rock material but galena and chalcopyrite are common.

The further dump is sited around a well preserved wheel pit. A little further up the slope is a deep (15m), square (2m x 2m) shaft to water with an associated wheelpit. The shaft is not fenced or walled around.

September 2018.
