The Sierra de la Huerta is a mountain range located in the province of San Juan, Argentina; It is an integral part of the Sierras Pampeanas.

The Sierra de La Huerta is part of the Western Sierras Pampeanas of Precambrian-Lower Paleozoic age. It is composed of an igneous-metamorphic basement of a medium to high degree of metamorphism made up of biotitic-granatiferous ยฑ sillimanitic gneisses, amphibolites, marbles and chalcosilicate rocks, and intruded by metatonalites, metadiorites and metagabbros belonging to the Famatinian orogen of Ordovician age.

Along the western flank of the mountain range, in angular unconformity on the crystalline basement, is the Marayes Group, an interstratified continental sequence of clastic sediments and volcaniclastic rocks, whose age ranges from the Middle to Upper Triassic. It has a length of 185 km by 33 km wide approximately, in its central zone.
