A Cu-Mo-Ag-Au-U-Bi-W-Zn mine located in sec. 25, T24N, R16E, MDM, 2.8 km (1.8 miles) WSW of Adams Peak (coordinates of record), W of Frenchman Lake and the Little Last Chance Valley, SE of Last Chance Creek, on (9 miles N of Chilcoot), on National Forest land. Property is comprised of 40 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is quartz dikes in granite related to either a hydrothermal phase of the magmatic sequence or of pegmatitic-pneumatolitic origin. The ore body strikes N20E and dips 80W at a thickness of 3.05 meters and a length of 914.4 meters. The body is a series of parallel veins. The main vein is the Mohawk. One ore shoot that was developed is 30 feet long and averaged 4 feet in width. The oxidized zone has a depth of 50 feet. Another vein, striking NW and dipping 50E, has been cut at tunnel level. It lies E of the main vein. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (Northeastern Sierra Nevada).

Workins include underground openings comprsied of a 180 foot inclined shaft of 80 degrees with 3 levels. At the 50 foot level there is a drift 125 feet N. At ther 180 foot level there is a drift N 65 feet, and about 240 feet of crosscuts. Ore has been stoped from 120 foot level N to the tunnel level.

Production data are found in: MacBoyle, Errol (1918).

Production information: In 1913 there were shipments of 8 tons daily to the Western Ore Purchasing Co. It ran 6% Cu. The total as of 1918 was about 1,000 tons of ore.

Analytical data results: 6-8% Cu, 40 (?) Au, and 2 ounces Ag/ton.
