Miniera delle Conche, Rio Marina, Isola d'Elba, Livorno, Toscana, Italia
Managerially regarded as a stope of the Rio Albano Mine, but in reality, a separate mine; located between Monte Calendozio and Monte Giove, 800 meters to the right of the bridge over the Fosso di Rialbano of the road Rio Marina-Cavo, the mine was exploited from 1940 to 1968.
The mine began as an open pit, later galleries were excavated at levels 80, 39 and 7 (the last two now flooded); at the bottom of the hole, there is now a small red lake.
