Numerous sub-economic copper mineralizations of various genetic types (sulfide-bearing quartz vein-type mineralizations and sediment-hosted occurrences in sandstones, mudstones and limestones) were found within two regional tectonic belts (Qiulitage belt in the south, Kelasu belt in the north) in the Kuqa foreland basin. In addition, rock samples from salt domes adjacent to copper occurrences were found to contain atacamite and native copper.
