A Mn occurrence/claim/prospect located in the SW¼ sec. 12, T3N, R6E, HM, 3.5 km (2.1 miles) N of Hyampom, on National Forest land (located claim) (located about 200 yards S of the Big Rock claim). Discovered 1940. Owner Lawrence Leckrone California 1974 MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in chert. Manganese ore about 12 feet in diameter occurs in a white chert body which strikes N40E and dips 55N. Chert is completely surrounded by serpentine and is regarded as a roof pendant in serpentine. The ore occurs as black coatings on light colored chert and as compact masses of black oxide. Some patches of pink rhodonite are present, which is probably the primary mineral. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 9 (Western Klamath Mountains).

Analytical data results: Average grade is about 15% Mn.
