A former lode Au-Pb mine located 4.1 km (2.5 miles) E of Deadwood.
Mineralization is a Au-Pb deposit (Deposit model: 273: Low-sulfide Au-quartz vein), hosted in greenstone, granodiorite, and schist.
Local structures include faults striking N65W and dipping 60NE.
Related tectonic structures include the Klamath Mountains Accreted Terranes - Western Paleozoic And Triassic Belt.
