A former lode Au occurence/mine located in sec. 1, T19N, R10E, MDM, about 4 km (2½ miles) SSW of Downieville, along the N canyon wall of Rock Creek, S of the North Yuba River. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Microfilm (which ?) gives reference to locations being in the W½NW¼ and the SE¼SW¼ of the section. Clark lists this mine simply as the Jumper Mine.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate and granite. The ore body strikes N and dips vertically. The vein is 3½ feet (1.2 meters) thick with clay gouge. It is parallel to a larger vein of quartz with a surface length of 300 feet on the same formation as the High Commission & Moore Mines. It is probably vertical, but may dip a little to the E. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada) an/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of 2 adits. The lower adit is 8 feet. Also pits and trenches dug on surface. The workings are on a slide.

Production data are found in: MacBoyle, Errol (1920b).

No other production record was found.
