A former Au occurrence/mine located in the NW¼SE¼ sec. 10, T17N, R13E, SBM, about 6.4 km (3.6 miles) NNE of Clark Mountain (summit), at the head of Greene Canyon, on federal reservation land (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
The mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in rhyolite porphyry, gneiss and schist. The veins are siliceous. Local rocks include Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
