A former lode and placer Au occurrence/group of claims located in sec. 10, T18N, R11E, MDM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile) ESE of Graniteville, on National Forest land (unpatented). The property comprises 70 acres. Owned/operated by Jas. E. Robertson, et al. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Located in sec. 10 or 11. There is no evidence of Au in sec. 11.

Mineralization is a vein deposit and a placer deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 4 (Klamath Mountains and Northern Sierra Nevada).

Workings include surface and underground openings and include ground sluicing operations, adits, drifts and vertical shafts. A 4-stamp mill was erected.

A small amount of coarse gold was saved in the sluice boxes during more recent operations. Some production from the veins was claimed years ago. Recent operations report that 6 tons of ore yielded 2 ounces of Au. More work was planned.
