The Grand Duc deposit, which is currently the site of a low-grade high-tonnage open pit operation, lies approximately 1 km west of the Doyon West deposit. Mineralized veins occur mostly within the Mooshla Intrusive Complex phase I aphyric to quartz porphyritic trondhjemite. Mineralized veins in the Grand Duc samples range from a few millimeters to a few centimeters in width and have sharp but undulating contacts with the host rocks.
