MeluzĂna

The MeluzĂna (German: Wirbelstein) is a 1,094-metre-high (3,589 ft) mountain in the central Ore Mountains in the Czech Republic.

The Meluzína or Wirbelstein lies three kilometres east of the highest peak in the range, the Klínovec, near the road from Boží Dar to Měděnec on the actual crest of the Ore Mountains.

A striking table hill which consists of an eclogite body in orthogneisses. Eclogite was changed by retrograde metamorphism, hence it contains younger coarse-grained bands of quartz, amphibole and zoisite. In these bands occur frequent crystals and grains of rutile, commonly up to 15 mm, the biggest up to 60 mm. Nice are also blue-green ruler-shaped crystals of amphibole and tanish prismatic crystals of zoisite.

The hill is very attractive for hikers with a beautiful all-around view.
