Outcrops of Permo-Carboniferous lava sheet.

Rašovský ridge is a designation for a part of the Ještěd ridge in the Liberec region roughly between the U Šámalů (735 m above sea level), where it used to be and is now a picnic inn, and the Javorník hill (684 m above sea level). Other important altitude points on the Rašovské ridge include the village of Rašovka (610 m above sea level), where the excursion restaurant V Trnčí with a newly built lookout tower was restored after many years, and the so-called Rašovské sedlo (568 m above sea level).

Other interesting places on the ridge include several rock formations made of quartz keratophyre on a slope above the village of Šimonovice: they are mainly Horecké skály near the highest Šimonovice building and about half a kilometre west of Liščí skála. In the side valley of the ridge, called V šancích, a physical education centre for top athletes with a swimming pool and a ski lift was built on a hillside under the so-called Paclt Rock in 1988, which passed into private hands after the revolution. Several old melaphyre quarries can be found on the slopes between Rašovka and Rašovské sedlo.
