On a small footpath from the tourist parking place to the Joseph's cross (on the left from the main-way) can be found quartz crystals, pseudomorphous after beta-quartz (high-quartz), as so called "Stolberger Diamanten" (Stolbergian diamonds). The crystals up to 1 cm are weathered out of a quartz porphyry and can be picked up particularly after a heavy rainfall from the water-furrows.
