Altered volcanics rocks (hawaiites, mugearites, and benmoreites) exposed in the cliffs near the newly formed platform Nyrøysa on the western coast of Bouvet Island. Secondary minerals like calcite, quartz, celadonite, chlorite and various clay minerals are found in the vesicles in the altered volcanic rocks.
