Abandoned gypsum mine located on the North end of Cape Breton Island. Opened in 1933 by the Atlantic Gypsum Mining Company. Bought by National Gypsum in 1937. It operated until 1955, producing about 10 million tons of gypsum. Hydration of anhydrite has created caves (hydration Ramesh Cave) when the ceiling expanded and created an opening.
