New Britain Township Fall Festival returns Sept. 19 to North Branch Park

Annual community celebration will feature live music, food trucks, local vendors and family entertainment from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New Britain Township will welcome the arrival of fall with an afternoon of music, food and family activities when its annual Fall Festival returns to North Branch Park later this month.

The festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Branch Park, 207 Park Ave.

Township officials are billing the annual event as a chance for residents to celebrate the season with family, friends and neighbors, with live music, entertainment, food trucks, local vendors and activities for all ages planned throughout the day.

The township’s sponsorship materials provide a glimpse at some of the attractions planned for this year’s festival, including a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, inflatable slide, bounce house, face painting, caricaturist and balloon artist. Raffles are also expected to be part of the festivities.

The festival will take over one of New Britain Township’s largest recreation areas. North Branch Park encompasses about 45 acres and includes athletic fields, playgrounds, basketball courts, pavilions and walking trails.

The township has also recruited local businesses and organizations to participate as vendors, with spaces available for businesses selling or distributing products during the event. Vendor registration closed Aug. 30.

The Fall Festival is one of several community events on New Britain Township’s calendar as summer gives way to fall. Upcoming activities also include an outdoor Movie Night at North Branch Park on Oct. 3, followed by the township’s Halloween and Harvest Home Decorating Contest later in October.
