The Dark Ride è il nono album in studio del gruppo musicale tedesco Helloween, pubblicato nel 2000.
Descrizione
[modifica | modifica wikitesto]Prodotto da Roy Z (già collaboratore di alcuni album di Bruce Dickinson) e Charlie Bauerfeind (che aveva già lavorato con Angra, Blind Guardian e Gamma Ray), il disco presenta uno stile piuttosto differente dai precedenti del gruppo, in quanto è caratterizzato da un suono oscuro e aggressivo. È anche l'ultimo realizzato con Roland Grapow alla chitarra e Uli Kusch alla batteria: entrambi verranno infatti licenziati alla fine del tour promozionale dell'album, e assieme formeranno i Masterplan.
