Feature: Add verbose flag rather than image tag #1077

Describe the feature
It would be preferable to toggle the @verbose functionality via an input rather than having to switch image tags. This would allow the use of env vars to determine whether or not the output should be seen.
Please check the latest release
- I have checked releases, and the feature is missing in the latest patch version of

Added in the 2.40.0-beta and will be in the upcoming 2.40.0 release.
