Thank you today for Talyllyn Railway, introduced (in 2008): "I just stumbled across this article after visiting the railway on holiday with my son, who's a big steam fan, and taking a picture which I thought could be added to WP. When I saw the quality of the article (and the existing pictures, which were much better than mine!) and that it had narrowly missed out on FA once before, I thought I'd give it a helping hand so have gone through and given it a pretty ruthless copy edit, which I think now brings it up to FA standard."! - Good timing to see it again for the anniversary. I had wanted a 300th anniversary but when I saw this one nominated I relaxed and just brought it to OTD. The FAC for it is still open. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:00, 14 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Chris! You recently stated that you will review my recent FAC, and I really do appreciate it. However, I've gathered 4-5 supports from it today, so instead of this, could you please take a look for this article? There's still no comment for it yet over a month, so I'd like to listen your thoughts for this. I'm sorry if I minded you, thanks! Camilasdandelions (✉️) 04:23, 12 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

List of Gillingham F.C. records and statistics

[edit]

Hello Chris, apologies but its me again. For the International caps section it has Andrew Crofts as 12 for Wales, which is correct from his permanent stint with the club. When he rejoined Gillingham on loan in 2016, he earned an additional cap for Wales. So my question is, should this be updated to 13 or does the parent club have the benefit of having that cap attributed to them? Randomnia (talk) 10:57, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Randomnia: - that's a very good question and in all honesty I am not sure. I'll have to have a look through some of my football reference books and see if I can find an example of a player in a similar situation and how they are treated..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 11:07, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@ChrisTheDudeThanks Chris, I look forward to your findings. Randomnia (talk) 14:35, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@ChrisTheDude Hi Chris, just wondered if you'd had a chance to do some further digging on this at all and know whether it should be 12 caps for Crofts or 13? Randomnia (talk) 09:55, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Randomnia: - apologies for not replying. All I could find in any of my books was info on the highest cap holder for a given club, and none of those players (as far as I can tell) spent any time on loan at the club in question, so it didn't really answer the question. I would be tempted to maybe show 13 and then just add a footnote explaining the detail -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 10:05, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Rev del

[edit]

Hi ChrisTheDude! I hope you're having a great day and that life is treating you nicely. :-) I saw that you recently performed revision deletion on a few edits here and removed some content that... yeah, definitely falls into RD2; I have absolutely no qualm at all regarding the redaction of the content. ;-)

However, I noticed that you also redacted the edit summary and username from each of the edits as well. I pulled up the in-depth information for each revision and found that they did not meet a criteria for redaction. It looks like you might've just accidentally applied the redaction to all of the data instead of only the revision text, so I went ahead and just fixed them for you. ;-) If there's something that I missed, or if there's a reason why you redacted the username and edit summary information that should be reinstated, please let me know. Otherwise, you're all set and there's nothing that you need to do. :-) Cheers - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 15:35, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Oshwah: - thanks, that does indeed sound like mis-clicking on my part..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 15:54, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
ChrisTheDude - No worries; it happens... Hell, I won't even begin to try and figure out how many revisions I've redacted the wrong information from or redacted incorrectly over the years that I've been on this project... Take your wildest guess, add 2000 to the number, and you might be in the ballpark! XD ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 16:03, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Been following recent edits in the "List of Billboard Hot 100 number ones" series

[edit]

You've definitely done a great job in updating the early part of this series, and thanks for that as well as those having to do with some of the edits I've made in the mid and late 1970s portion (July 4, 1976 dating and the frozen charts notes). In the last few hours or days, though, I've been seeing temporary accounts try to change things back to the way they were, and while the normal convention has been to not do a second link to a song or artist within a table, I can see why it's important from the standpoint of the one-click column sortings within the table. Also noting that most if not all of the articles in this series you've edited so far are either featured lists or candidates. MPFitz1968 (talk) 18:08, 14 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
