Showrunner...
From time to time, it comes up that an editor adds a showrunner entry to an infobox about a TV series. I forget about what your overall knowledge is concerning this particular position. Came across it just now with edits to the season articles of iCarly, and decided to revert them, citing that a reliable source needs to verify that the position exists for the series (which is per the Template:Infobox television instructions). Not that I've scrutinized the listing of crew credits in iCarly or any other series, but I doubt I'd explicitly find "showrunner" listed in the credits. MPFitz1968 (talk) 10:06, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- @MPFitz1968: Sorry, I've been very busy with work and a very screwed up sleep schedule. No, showrunner is not in the credits, and they are usually one of the executive producers, so they will get listed, anyway. Amaury âą 21:15, 28 August 2026 (UTC)
Edit on Stuck in the Middle
I appreciate your diligence in checking my edit on Stuck in the Middle. I wanted to clarify my reason for the formatting and why I've reverted your good-faith change. Series titles should be in italics, but in cases with templates like this:
where the normal-text is displayed in italics, you want to de-italicize the title for the equivalent effect, like this:
That's why I call it "reverse italics" in my edit summaries, since we're italicizing by not italicizing. I tried finding a MOS explanation for this, but I couldn't find one; I just learned it by working with typography a lot and editing Wikipedia frequently. If there is a specific MOS policy against this, please let me know. Packer1028 (talk) 19:39, 13 September 2026 (UTC)
