People in knitting?

There is a category called people in knitting pointing to varios kniiting designers. I think the knitting template should have had a section listing names of designers in knitting, or point to a list under "related". Solbris (talk) 15:41, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Is Intarsia a Pattern or a Technique?

To me, it's a technique, often used to make patterns? But nothing about Intarsia requires a specific pattern, unlike Argyle. Spellingbee91 (talk) 04:59, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

@Spellingbee91 I'd also personally describe it as a technique or a stitch before describing it as a pattern, though I wouldn't be surprised to see somebody call it a pattern. It's always seemed to me that the "pattern-technique-stitch" division can get a bit blurry. Looks like our article describes it as a technique too; if nobody objects, I'll move it to the technique portion of the navbox. You're right that it certainly fits better there than with Argyle or Fair Isle (both of which I'd personally classify as regional/ethnic styles, but YMMV) GreenLipstickLesbian💌🧸 05:37, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
