We are so excited to announce the winners of our first-ever WeCoded Challenge, our newest way of celebrating underrepresented voices in tech through stories and code.
This challenge is all about sharing journeys, honoring identity, and highlighting the rich, diverse backgrounds that make our industry stronger. We were humbled by the vulnerability and honesty from those who submitted to the Echoes of Experience prompt, and we adored many of the beautiful and creative landing pages shared for the Celebrate in Code prompt.
Thank you to everyone who participated — your stories matter, and your work is helping shape a more inclusive future in tech.
Now, let’s celebrate our winners!
🎉 Congratulations To…
Echoes of Experience Winner
@tochi_ shared a well-written and heartfelt, vivid story of transformation — from navigating life in Nigeria’s oil industry to carving a new path in software engineering and cybersecurity.
Full of introspection and inspiration, her journey (so far) has left a lasting impression on our team.

@wesleybertipaglia's WeCoded landing page puts a spotlight on individual stories - we loved the clean aesthetic and the thoughtfulness on creating a mini-stage for those who publish under #wecoded.
We're excited to work with Wesley to make his submission the new /wecoded page on DEV!
