Formula:
Na-Ca-Al-Si-O-H
The mean analysis (England, 1996) recast (Ł.K.) leads to (Na,Ca)~1(Si2.5Al1.5)Σ4O8·~9H2O (5 cations basis) or (Na,Ca)2(Si5.5Al3.5)Σ9O18·19H2O (11 cations basis) or (Na,Ca)3(Si8Al5)Σ13O~26·28H2O (16 cations basis).
Member of:
Found as "flexible, ribbon-like filaments up to 10 microns wide"; often over 1 cm long, "randomly draped over thomsonite and chabazite"; in vesicles of a Tertiary basalt.

Electron microprobe data (EDS, wt%, 5 analyses):

SiO2 44.0-53.1
Al2O3 23.0-28.1
CaO 8.3-8.9
Na2O 4.4-7.7

total 80.0-97.3

Si:(Si+Al) = 0.62 (constant)

Si/Al = 1.61-1.63
