About Unnamed (Cu-S-Si-O-H)Hide

Formula:
Cu-S-Si-O-H
Cu:S:Si ratio is roughly 10:1:1, sometimes also ~5:1:1, and somewhat variable.
May contain very minor to trace amounts of Al, As, P, Sb, Fe, Cl, Mg.
Colour:
Turquois to greenish blue
Lustre:
Vitreous, Pearly
Anthropogenic phase found in ancient slags (Kolitsch & Brandstätter, 2012; Kolitsch, unpublished analyses).
Tiny hexagonal plates, forming rosettes or crusts. A turquoise to very pale turquoise colour (depending on crystal thickness) appears to be characteristic. The lustre is slightly pearly to glassy.
SXRD studies reveal apparent stacking disorder.

Visually similar to chalcophyllite. May be more wide-spread.
