I am pleased to be recognized by Princeton University for the Woodrow Wilson Award. A big year for @Princeton science/engineering alumnae, with Mary Brunkow getting the corresponding graduate award. I wonder if they feel sorry for us...it's not been fun for basic science these

This is beautiful work, Ziqi Li @ZiqiLi0513. A powerful demonstration of the synergy possible between design and #directedevolution. @Caltech #enzyme

In the rapidly developing field of de novo enzyme design, we always wonder what the portrait of design and evolution should look like. Competitive? Successive? Complementary? Synergistic! @francesarnold @pengliu_group @GoogleDeepMind ! biorxiv.org/content/10.648…

Introducing AlphaProtein Novo, a pipeline for de novo enzyme design! In collaboration with @francesarnold's group, we developed AP Novo and used it to get SoTA "novel-scaffold" activity on 2 benchmark reactions and create enzymes to synthesize the pharmaceutical motif piperidine

Our newest contribution to #AI and #enzymes, building from what enzymes really care about: mechanisms. Congrats to @Lun_Hsin_Kuo and @jsunn_y .

Excited to share our new JACS paper: EZSolver 🧪 Can AI predict how an enzyme turns reactants into products? We built a template-free system for predicting complete polar enzymatic mechanisms. (1/5) Paper: doi.org/10.1021/jacs.6…
