Education
Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts is New York City's only specialized high school where admission is earned by audition and portfolio. Approximately 2,400 students from all five boroughs train at a conservatory level in one of six studios while completing a rigorous college-preparatory academic program, and they are recognized each year in national, regional, and local arts competitions. Our graduates go on to Ivy League and tier-one universities, leading liberal arts colleges, and the world's premier conservatories.
Since 1936, LaGuardia has produced an incomparable list of notable alumni whose contributions have shaped the arts worldwide.
