I applied for a position at Accenture through my college's on-campus placement drive. The recruitment process consisted of four rounds. I was informed about the opportunity on July 26, 2024, and filled out the necessary application. When completing the application, you'll need to select three preferred job locations, so be sure to consider your preferences beforehand. Additionally, a PAN card is a mandatory requirement for participating in the exam.

1st Round: Cognitive and Technical Assessment—MCQ Test (90 Questions—90 min):
The initial stage of the Accenture recruitment process is a cognitive and technical assessment, conducted on-campus in our college's computer labs. This round is relatively straightforward as it doesn't include any quantitative aptitude questions.
The assessment consists of 90 questions divided into six sections, and you'll have 90 minutes to complete it. You can freely move between different sections. To pass this round, you need to achieve a minimum score of 75% (subject to potential adjustments based on the final cutoff).

- Abstract Reasoning - 15 Ques
- Common Application and MS Office - 12 Ques
- Pseudo Code - 18 Ques

2nd Round: Coding Test (2 Questions – 45 min):
If you successfully pass the first round, you'll proceed to the coding round on the same day.
This test consists of two questions, typically categorized as easy or medium difficulty. You'll have 45 minutes to complete the test, and the difficulty level can vary. It's common for the first question to be easy, while the second question may be more challenging. To clear this round, you need to solve at least one of the questions.
I recommend searching for previous year Accenture coding questions, as many of them tend to be repeated.

3rd Round: Communication Assessment:
After successfully passing the coding round, you'll be required to participate in the Communication Assessment round. This round is not eliminatory, but it's mandatory. You'll have 2-3 days to complete it.
Communication Assessment Breakdown
- Reading: Read aloud with proper punctuation (8 questions)
- Repeat: Repeat sentences exactly as heard (16 questions)
- Questions: Answer questions based on prompts (24 questions)
- Sentence Builds: Rearrange words to form sentences (10 questions)
- Story Retellings: Retell brief stories (3 questions)
- Open Questions: Speak on given topics (2 questions)
TIPS:
Watch Youtube videos to familiarize yourself with the assessment format. Find a quiet space and ensure your headphones are working properly. Consider taking the exam at night for optimal focus.
4th Round: Interview (Online):
First, you'll need to book a time slot that suits you for the interview. If the interview starts late, don't worry—just wait patiently in the virtual interview lobby.
Accenture typically focuses on project-related questions along with HR questions, so it's important to have a deep understanding of your projects and be prepared for some common HR questions.
My interview was scheduled for 5th September 2024 at 11:00 AM. I entered the lobby at 10:45 AM, and the interviewer joined at 11:02 AM. He introduced himself and then began asking questions, starting with:
- Introduce yourself.
- Tell me about your project.
- Follow-up questions on the project.
At the end, he asked if I had any questions, and I asked him two: one about the technologies extensively used at Accenture, and the other about his experience working there. The interview was quite brief, lasting only about 7 minutes.
Results :
Accenture was hiring for two profiles:
- Associate Software Engineer (ASE)
- Advanced Associate Software Engineer (AASE).
I got selected for the Associate Software Engineer (ASE) profile.
I received the list of selected students from the TNP cell on 28th September, and on 30th September, I received the congratulations email. Out of 405 students who attended the first round and 105 who were interviewed, only 34 were selected.
