Product description

NTSC/Region Code 1. This hilarious 'Reality' style TV comedy is already a Canadian cult classic. In It's first and second season on Showcase, it garnered two Gemini nominations for Best Ensemble Performance. In Season Five, all three of the boys (Julian, Ricky and Bubbles) went to prison. It'll be worth it if all goes to plan, because when they're released, they'll own Sunnyvale Trailer Park. That's about it really. Except, of course, for the stealing; the dope-dealing out of their grandmother's house; the hash driveway, Mr. Lahey's on-again, off-again alcoholism; a greasy rap video; J-Roc's grocery-theft ring; Lucy's boob job; and Julian's plan to ship dope across the country in shopping carts.

I've been a fan of TPB since day 1. This season is great, the boys get out of jail and "aquire" a massive amout of hash. If you like TPB go for it, in my opinion season 5 is the last "good" season. Season 6-7 are not as good and kinda out of character for the show. At the price it's listed here their is no excuse not to buy it!

Homebound n' Down, the laughs keep coming

Just when they made enough money to buy the park and be retired for life, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles are in for some nasty surprises in season 5. Yes, as others have noted, the boys are down on their luck a bit in season 5, but it is no less any funnier or well written than the rest of the series.

Corey and Trevor, as revealed at the end of season 4, ripped off the boys. Ricky's none too happy about this. Worse, it doesn't take long for them to end up homeless. And if that wasn't enough, Cyrus is back in town, with a lot of hash that is just too tempting to Julian.

New characters include Terry & Dennis, or "the flappy bird brothers", according to Bubbles, due to their, errr...birds hanging out of their bathrobes all the time. Terry & Dennis have teamed up with Cyrus, and now the boys have three foes to deal with. If that wasn't enough, Lahey's drunker than ever. This time he doesn't want Ricky to go back to jail -- he wants Ricky dead.

Like previous seasons, Season 5 is loaded with hilarious dialogue and ridiculous situations. The ever quotable Ricky has almost been topped by his dad, Ray, who plays a bigger role than ever. As Ray might say, "that's the way she ****ing goes, boys." Which is pretty much the theme of this season. You win some, you lose some. The way she ****ing goes.

Clocking in at a generous 10 episodes (which is the most ever for a season of TPB), season 5 adds lots of new wrinkles. Other reviewers didn't like the way season 5 went, and my response to that is that if you don't change up the formula on a show like this, your show is doomed to jump the shark. Instead, Mike Clattenburg and Co. have chosen to make things less comfortable for the boys and see how things pan out. Funnier than ever, is how!

Five stars, as always. Not a dud episode in the bunch, and actually some of the series' best.

This is really funny,it's real, not reality TV.Perfect backdrop, real people trying to exist.Julian with his ever present rum and coke,Ricky with his cigarette,Bubbles with his warm always considerate feelings for human kind. The girls moronic in a sweet way,the drunken Mr.Lahey and bareback Rand as his foil.JRock and Trevor unforgettable. It is what a comedy should be no canned laughter here,no expensive backdrop,no big name overpaid actors. No innuendo, sexual or otherwise. No pretentiousness or glossy air brushed plastic phony transparent nonsense.Original like The Three Stooges in a weird sort of way. These guys always make me laugh!I can watch the same sketches over and over and I see something new every time.

It's Trailer Park Boys! If you don't know who these guys are then you should because they're flipping hilarious! It does take a particular type of sense of humor to appreciate them, but if you have that type of funny bone these guys will have you laughing for hours and you'll find yourself watching them repeatedly. I own every episode and every movie they've done for exactly that reason, they're awesome dumb humor for those times you just want a dumb laugh with characters you'll get attached too. 5 Stars, two thumbs up!

If you're reading this review, it's likely you're already familiar with Trailer Park Boys Seasons 1-4. My word is: more of the same. Given the fact that seasons 1-4 are all hilarious, I consider that a very good thing indeed.

If, like me, you're from the 'States, you may not be familiar with the Trailer Park Boys. Buy it. The language is blue, they're constantly committing robberies and growing dope, and getting in shootouts. It's also funny as anything I've ever seen. I highly recommend this product, and any of the others in this series.

It doesn't get any better than trailer park boys. I can't wait for season 8 to get released. I bought these cause NETFLIX took it off its list, but has since been brought back. At lease now I don't have to worry about that anymore.
