The 2026/27 season is now live on Match Simulator!
Most of you will probably have noticed already, but since September 19, the 2026/27 season is live on Match Simulator! I've received a lot of kind messages and positive feedback since the update went live, so I want to return the thanks. Seeing your reactions to a new season update is always very encouraging, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with it over the coming months. Of course, a new season also means new events. The Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 have been selected as this season's domestic events. The Champions League, Europa League and Conference League followed shortly after, which means all eight events are already set up and ready to simulate. So, how will the 2026/27 season unfold in your simulations? Will the favourites live up to expectations, or will you create a completely different football season? As always, I'm especially looking forward to seeing the cups, packs, squads and fantasy leagues you come up with this year. A new source for player data There is also one major change behind the scenes this season. Over the past few months, I've been building my own football player database for Match Simulator: CrowdScout. For the first time, the new season's player data and ratings are coming from a system built specifically with Match Simulator (and its future) in mind. You can already have a look at CrowdScout at crowdscoutdata.com. It is currently in beta, so there is still plenty to come. And if there are ratings you disagree with: remember them. Soon, you'll be able to provide feedback and contribute directly to how player ratings are shaped. I'll publish a separate article soon explaining what CrowdScout is, why I built it, how the ratings work and how the community will be able to contribute.
