Log Pattern Lens can now filter normalized message groups by log level and combine repeated messages whose short request IDs differ. These changes make it easier to find an error hidden behind more frequent groups.

Try it

  1. Open the live demo and choose Latency burst.
  2. Select WARN under Pattern level. Two matching groups appear; the slow-request group combines req-78 and req-79 into two occurrences.
  3. Download the JSON report. It still contains all five entries and all four groups from the sample, including INFO and ERROR.

The filter searches all groups before applying the eight-card display limit. A group's count, examples and line numbers describe the whole group, even if it contains several levels. Loading a sample or file resets the filter to All levels. See filter behavior.

Included

  • Pattern-level selection, matching counts, group-level labels and an empty-result message.
  • Short request-ID normalization for explicit request_id, requestId and request-id fields, including quoted values. Short status codes and attempt counts remain distinct.
  • Room for a vertical scrollbar on narrow 320 px viewports.
  • Patched development dependencies and Node.js 24-based CI / GitHub Pages actions.

Request-ID grouping changes pattern labels only. Original examples retain their values; grouping does not redact them for sharing. See request-ID rules.

Validation

96 tests, ESLint and the TypeScript/Vite production build pass. Browser checks cover the latency sample, a WARN-filtered full-input JSON download, the empty DEBUG result, resetting the filter and finding an ERROR group outside the initial eight cards.
