PrusaSlicer 3.0 Alpha 11 3DConnexion Space Mouse not working

Description of the bug

Filing this as a gap between the support in the existing PrusaSlicer 2.9.6 and 3.0 Alpha 11. 3DConnectionSpace mouse is supported in 2.xx but not currently in 3.xx.

Zipped project file & How to reproduce

1. Start App PrusaSlicer 2.9.6
2. Use SpaceMouse and it works.
3. Shut down PrusaSlicer and start PrusaSlicer 3.0.0 Alpha 11
4. Use SpaceMouse and it does not work.

did you read the release notes?

Hello @emolitor, thanks for your message. 3D mouse support has not been implemented yet. This is intentional and it is not classified as a bug or an issue. I’ll move this issue to Discussions for now to gather more input from the community. Seeing how much interest it gets through upvotes will help us better understand its priority.

wherever I should reply to emphasize it: I'd like to have 3D mouse support as well - use it a lot in 2.96

I now understand that the current alpha release does not include 3DConnectionSpace mouse support but just wanted to add that I'm running PrusaSlicer 3.0 alpha on macOS Tahoe and that the lack of SpaceMose support for me is its biggest issue compared to the 2.9.6 release. I realise that the Prusa software dev team must focus on getting 3.0 stable and functionally up to date but please do not leave SpaceMouse support out as once you get used to working with 3D SpaceMouse in your workflow it's a big issue when it's not working.

This is important to me as well. I'd be happy if you allowed 3.0's view to be controlled via mouse + keyboard shortcuts which I can then map to my 3dconnexion space mouse. Meaning,.. CTRL/ALT/SHIFT + mouse movement = Rotate, pan, zoom etc...
I assume this sort of control is easier to implement than full 3d mouse support. I don't mind creating manual maps in the 3dconnexion software if it means I can use my 3d mouse again.

Many thanks to the software dev team for adding 3D Space Mouse support in the latest PS Alpha. Have just updated to Alpha 13 on my main 3D desktop dev system running macOS Tahoe 26.7.1 (Intel x86 based) and can confirm that Space Mouse support is working well, it so good to have this functionality back ....
