WinUI 3 in Windows App SDK 2.6.4 includes reliability fixes for text controls during app shutdown, ItemsView, and WebView2, plus a fix for false IntelliSense errors in VS Code. It is available through the Microsoft.WindowsAppSDK 2.6.4 NuGet package.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an access violation crash that could occur during app shutdown when a text control, such as a
TextBoxorRichEditBox, was still alive while the XAML core was being torn down. - Fixed a crash in
ItemsViewwhen the target ofStartBringItemIntoViewwas collapsed or recycled before the scroll completed (microsoft/microsoft-ui-xaml#11865). - Fixed a crash that could occur when a
WebView2control received focus while still initializing and its parent window was temporarily disabled when initialization finished. - Fixed false IntelliSense errors on XAML-generated members, such as
InitializeComponentandx:Namefields, in WinUI 3 C# projects edited in VS Code with C# Dev Kit. To opt out, set theEnableWinUIDesignTimeGeneratedXamlCompileItemsproperty tofalse.
