Terňa (Rusyn: Терня, Hungarian: Ternye) is a village in the Prešov District of the Prešov Region in eastern Slovakia.
History
[edit]The first reference to Terňa in historical literature appears in 1259 when Béla IV of Hungary donated Terňa to a Šariš royal named Therne.[4]
Geography
[edit]The municipality lies at an altitude of 450 metres (1,480 ft)[2] and covers an area of 29.42 km2 (11.36 sq mi) (2025).[1]
