Insulin-like peptide 5 (INSL5) is a hormone that in humans is encoded by the INSL5gene.[5][6] This hormone is secreted by the large intestines and activates the RXFP4 receptor with high affinity.[7] It may be involved in regulating intestinal contractions or the development of the thymus.[7]
