TIL: How to build Elixir From Source and install Livebook

EDIT: Must have erlang installed for this to work. on garuda arch, type sudo pacman -S erlang.

Short and sweet:

$ git clone https://github.com/elixir-lang/elixir.git --branch v1.14.2
$ cd elixir
$ make
$ export PATH="$PWD/bin:$PATH"
$ elixir --version
⭐ Football Update: andevr/til how to build elixir from source and install livebook kk - Pertandingan Hari Ini ⭐ Football Update: andevr/til how to build elixir from source and install livebook kk - Pertandingan Hari Ini

After that I had to add escripts to path. I'm on Garuda Linux, so this was what I used:

set PATH /home/drew/.mix/escripts $PATH
⭐ Football Update: andevr/til how to build elixir from source and install livebook kk - Pertandingan Hari Ini ⭐ Football Update: andevr/til how to build elixir from source and install livebook kk - Pertandingan Hari Ini

To make it permanent run:

fish_add_path /home/drew/.mix/escripts
⭐ Football Update: andevr/til how to build elixir from source and install livebook kk - Pertandingan Hari Ini ⭐ Football Update: andevr/til how to build elixir from source and install livebook kk - Pertandingan Hari Ini

After that, run:

mix escript.install hex livebook
⭐ Football Update: andevr/til how to build elixir from source and install livebook kk - Pertandingan Hari Ini ⭐ Football Update: andevr/til how to build elixir from source and install livebook kk - Pertandingan Hari Ini

And that's it.
