- “I spent some time going through Buildside and what stood out to me is how focused the platform feels on the actual process of building. Instead of only seeing finished products, you get to discover the founders behind them, see what they’re working on and follow the progress as…” — Focus
- “I discovered @thebuildside through @testdriveso and just finished testing the platform. I genuinely value what’s being built here.” — Lily🪷
- “When I checked out build side I realized it is where anyone can build be it someone with technical knowledge or not. The simplicity of build side makes me explore more as a non technical person. It was so easy to navigate and it pinpoint what the actual problems of founders and developers might be by asking the right question. Great work by @uriel_builds” — Profray
- “founder platforms usually make you choose: build a following, or build the thing. rarely both in the same place. ran a session on @thebuildside and it treats those as one job. each product page opens with what's broken and what fixes it, split cleanly, no hunting through pitch…” — Eric
- “Explored the live founders network and the "Shipping Now" product directory on Buildside by @uriel_builds Having a structured place where SaaS builders connect updates directly to their product pages and MRR milestones fixes the biggest flaw of building in public Also loved the honest comparison table acknowledging narrower reach vs X/Product Hunt” — Smaliy
- “I just finished exploring @uriel_builds and added my product, Degen Pro, to Buildside. The experience was pretty smooth: it generated a storyboard for my app and even published a post announcing the launch.” — Olalekan
- “Joined Buildside by @uriel_builds, a platform for creators building in public, by someone building in public. Just like Test Drive: "for builders in public, by builders in public" I found Uriel as he was on the TestDrive builder rank, and i loved what he was building” — Rik
- “Tried BuildsideApp by @uriel_builds today and explored the founder onboarding + product creation flow. I liked that the onboarding asks about your founder type, expertise, and current challenges instead of treating every builder the same. The product page flow also feels like a useful way to put the founder and what they’re building in one place.” — khay
Build-in-public platform comparison
Which platform should SaaS founders use to build in public?
The best choice depends on the job: a durable founder journey, professional reach, niche feedback, a shipping habit, or a launch moment. This is a quick preview of the complete source-backed platform guide.
Compare every build-in-public platform| Platform | Best for and tradeoff |
|---|---|
| Buildside | Focused founder and product discovery, beta testing, and collaboration. Narrower reach than general social networks. |
| X | Real-time reach and public conversation. No structured founder or product directory. |
| Professional distribution and long-form credibility. Not centered on ongoing product progress. | |
| Topic-specific discussion and candid feedback. Rules and self-promotion policies vary by community. | |
| Indie Hackers | Bootstrapped founder discussions, stories, and partnerships. Broader than SaaS-only discovery. |
| Product Hunt | Launch-day product discovery and community ranking. Less focused on ongoing build logs. |
